In this workshop we will explore how we can engage with the body – our spatial, somatic and kinaesthetic intelligences – to help us make sense of dynamics, questions and challenges that arise in daily work and life.
Our psyche is spatially organised, and our grasp of the world is informed by bodily structures and sensory systems. It is by engaging the body, with gentle awareness and movement practices, that we can gain access to deeper layers of the psyche, tapping intuitive insights and wisdom.
Our sense of self and our understanding of the world are deeply rooted in the landscape of the body. Our bodies connect us to others and the world at large through our kinesphere, the immediate space that surrounds us. We inhabit this surrounding space with all dimensions of our being, interfacing with the world not only in physical but in deeply intuitive, sensory and extra-sensory ways. Feeling into the depths of that connection which links us to fields of collective consciousness, we can glean information that is not generally available to our rational mind. Many holistic psychotherapeutic modalities and embodied therapies now draw from these ideas, such as constellation work, authentic movement, and drama therapies.
In this workshop we will explore how we can work with the body and kinesphere to sense into questions and challenges we face in our working lives. We will map the emerging information through movement, posture and gesture, and we will then reflect and process through free writing, sketching and dialogue.

We've been guiding and facilitating small group experiences since 2011. We started with hosting meetups in our living room in New York City. Lots of them. Over the years, we realized that group process is our thing. Today, we're the co-founders of Sutra, a platform that is home to thousands of people participating in group learning experiences. And our Transformational Teaching Online program has helped hundreds of people discover what's possible with relational spaces online.
Our work with Sutra has supported the Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma, leadership programs at UNICEF and the Presencing Institute, as well as many other organizations and individuals in creating online learning experiences that foster deep connection and communication.
Our background integrates a masters study from the Harvard Graduate School of Education with Theory U work from MIT professor Otto Scharmer and Immunity To Change methodologies from Harvard professors Robert Keegan and Lisa Lahey as well as relational practices inspired by Thomas Hubl.
If you really knew us you would know... that we're both certified yoga teachers and we love meditating with our dog Dakota :-)
